You pay no setup fee. The price starts at 10 € net per month plus VAT and is the same for every billing option. When you order you choose monthly, half-yearly or yearly billing and pay the chosen period in advance, so with monthly billing you pay 10 € net plus VAT. If you need more than 20 GB of storage you choose it when ordering. All figures are above under All package details. Domains are extra if you need them, and you can see their prices on the domain page.

Yes, for every package. Choose monthly billing when you order and you pay every month. The monthly price is the same as with half-yearly or yearly billing, and there is no setup fee.

Yes. If Contao Hosting does not suit you, you get your money back for the hosting part within 30 days of the first technical activation of the hosting. Domains are excluded. To claim it, tell us in the video meeting or email hello@vhug.tech.

Yes. You can leave the domain with your current provider and point it to our hosting via DNS, which is free of charge. Or you transfer it to us: enter it when you order and provide the transfer code (AuthInfo), which can also be sent later. You can add new domains when ordering as well. More on the domain page.

Yes, on request. You have two options. First, we do the migration as a separate service for a one-time 60 € net plus VAT (usually about half an hour of work). How long your site is unavailable depends on the approach and is discussed in the meeting. Second, you move yourself. You get SSH, Composer and your own database, and in the free video meeting we explain step by step how that works.

Backups run daily and are kept for 30 days. They live in separate storage and do not reduce your hosting space. For a restore you write to support and we restore on request, normally within one business day. For more control you can also create backups yourself via SSH or use Plesk's Backup Manager.

Support runs by email and ticket. We usually reply on the same working day. There is no phone hotline. If you want to talk something through, you book a free video meeting.

We keep the server up to date: we handle server and system updates proactively and monitor continuously. Contao updates (core and extensions) are not part of the hosting. You can do them yourself with Composer and SSH, or hire us for Contao maintenance.

The hosting runs PHP 8.3 or newer, MySQL/MariaDB and either Nginx or Apache. Older PHP versions are possible for an additional charge. Contao 4.13, 5.x and 6.x run on our hosting, the Contao Manager is usable and you can disable the cloud resolver. Send us the Contao version and the main extensions of your website and we tell you before you order whether everything fits.

The billing period you choose when you order (monthly, half-yearly or yearly) is also your contract term. The contract renews automatically for the same period. You cancel with 14 days notice to the end of the period. As a private customer you can cancel at any time after the first term with 14 days notice.

The servers are in Germany, the hosting is GDPR-compliant, and an SLA of 99.5 % applies to availability. Every customer gets a data processing agreement, free of charge. You download it directly in your customer login.
